2014 Chevrolet Corvette c7 Review Price Engine Exterior

welcome to Neonista.blogspot.com website that provides a variety of information about the latest cars in the world. and this time we will share information about the 2014 corvette c7, the following information
As the launch of the new Corvette draws near—expect it to arrive in fall 2013—we are getting closer to definitive information on Chevy’s star-spangled sports car. Here’s the latest:
As we’ve said before, nothing so drastic as a switch to a mid-engine layout is planned for the C7. The base Vette will remain a front-engine, rear-transaxle coupe with a glass hatch (that is, until the C8 arrives, anyway). Something similar to the current car’s suspension, transverse leaf springs and all, will appear on this 2014 model. We also don’t expect any drastic dimensional changes; while mules we spotted in September appeared to have a narrower track, their bodies were donated by C6 Grand Sports, which have wider fenders and tracks than do base Corvettes. The C7 is likely to shed some mass, which would yield a better power-to-weight ratio.
In terms of its design, we’re going to go out on a limb and call it Vette-like. New headlight elements are more complex and narrower. The double-bubble roof returns, although the space between the bumps is wider, and the panel appears to be slightly flatter. Some sort of ventilation—either louvers or something like the scoop that adorns the nose of the current Z06, Grand Sport, and ZR1—will perforate the hood. Oh, and the side mirrors are less rounded than before and are a bit larger.

Among the critical design details shrouded in mystery is the final shape of the rear end, although we’re fairly confident that there will be more surface detailing on the back of the C7 than there was on the smooth, upswept tails of the C5 and C6. The quad exhaust tips, which appeared as slightly separated pairs on the C6, are now bundled together in a central row.
Expect more-significant changes under the hood. GM is investing more than $1 billion in the American plants that produce its small-block V-8, and the fifth generation of the iconic engine family will appear in the C7. Downsizing is a given for efficiency reasons, so expect a naturally aspirated 5.5-liter (possibly 6.0-liter) mill in place of the current 6.2 in the base model. (The oft-rumored twin-turbo V-6? We’re thinking C8.) The smaller engine will continue to use aluminum construction with pushrods and should make roughly the same 430 horsepower as the current 6.2; it will do so thanks in part to a higher compression ratio and direct fuel injection. The V-8 also is expected to feature cylinder deactivation, variable valve timing, and perhaps even stop-start functionality—the latter not exactly ideal for stoplight tête-à-têtes. And the Z06 and ZR1 models—with their respective larger and supercharged eights—should return.

car away from the current crop of flat surfaced and streamlined coupes.
Attention was then turned towards the business end - with the face being dominated by three main features; the wide and protruding grill, its hard-edged and prominent checks and the signature center crease which runs from bumper to bumper.
The grill in particular pays homage to the Manta Ray, whilst the cabin shares similarities with the current car for an evolutionary link. Like the C6, the headlights remain exposed with LED turn signals being incorporated on the outer edges. For a point of difference, the side vents now link into the front wheel arches, helping to enforce a visual statement.

2008 2009 Chevrolet Malibu LS
Still a lot of cars to post up, Ill see how many I can do today.

Introduction: The Chevrolet Malibu is one of GMs older names the first Malibu was introduced in 1964 until GM canceled it in 1983. The Malibu name was later revived after the demise of the Corsica/Beretta in 1997. Im not sure why GM had to retire the Corsica name since Ive never heard of this one being a horrible car like its predecessor the Citation was. Anyways GM brought back the Malibu and unfortunately for GM it was a pretty weak effort to combat the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry, I remember seeing the return of the Malibu...and the car was pretty dull and the interior was very disappointingly cheap...like youd expect from the Cavalier. Turns out that it ended up doing only well as a fleet car which is a failure unless the car was designed for fleet sales only ie. Ford Crown Victoria, Toyota Crown Comfort, etc. Finally someone at GM seemed to realize the Malibu had absolutely nothing to convince you to switch from Honda or Toyota and decided the whole car needed...a reasonably budget the result is the newly designed 2008 Malibu.
When I was given the opportunity to drive this GM car...I knew that GM had to do much more than a mild improvement to even think of challenging the other mid-sized sedans. Up until I drove the Malibu, all the GM sedans Ive driven were pretty disappointing and generic. With all the US media hype over this car I had to look at this car more critically to see whether GM finally understood what its been doing wrong for nearly 30 years.

Performance: Well Ive only driven the LS model which is the base model and has the not nearly as strong 2.4L 4-cylinder. Its nothing like the first Ford Fusion which had a horribly matched engine but this is not a very powerful car with an engine like this. It only produces 169 hp and 162 lb.ft of torque which is not all that great for acceleration making from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.6 seconds. The engine is refined enough to be quiet enough unlike a Dodge product so in some sense its not all that bad.
My Score: 6/10 - The engine isnt all that powerful, the V6 in terms of power is much better.
Handling: One of the annoying things about American cars has always been the fact they are made purely for the highway, the old Taurus was like this and as a result the handling was often terrible. The new Malibu fortunately avoids this problem, the handling on the Malibu while not being that great is not terrible as one would expect. The big problem here for the car however is its weight, at 3500 lbs its heavy and you start to feel this once you make the corner. Unlike what Toyota has done, the steering for the Malibu isnt vague it actually does feel connected which is a massive improvement over other older GM products.
My Score: 7/10 - Decent handling, good steering feel but the car is noticeably heavy

Interior: This used to be GMs anchilles heel...in the 1990s you jump into a GM car and can see the awful sea of grey, dull plastic. It was so uninspired and very cheap at the same time that you hoped it was a rental or one of the cheapest cars youve bought. The VP of GM by the name of Bob Lutz noticed this and was willing to basically say the GM interiors back then...were crap. The new Malibu made it a goal that the interior had to look like someone actually spent time and money styling it instead of before just throwing cheap parts from a Cavalier and hope the buyer was too dumb to notice. Mission accomplished, there are some noticeable neat looking styling items like the gear shifter with its neat lights, the much much nicer dashboard(a fake digital by the way) and a general inviting atmosphere of the interior. I liked the implementation of this interior. Its not the most beautiful interior because of the plastic but these days, nearly all the interiors of cars are plastic. As for the build quality its made in the USA and so far...I havent seen a major defect, only a minor misalignment which Toyota these days has.
My Score: 9/10 - Very very good effort, if it didnt have to use plastic it would have been perfect.
Styling: The exterior styling of the Malibu is not something I particularly liked. The good news is its not nearly as dull as the last two generations. The front has a nice headlight set up...but I think it was sort of ruined by how large the grille became, kind of like seeing a person with a massive nose. The rear just didnt really match with the front, theyre definitely unique but dont quite have pronouncement that makes certain unique styling good.
My Score: 6/10 - They tried something different, I just dont think it worked out as well
Value for Money: This is really where GM has to fight its hardest, the midsized sedan segment is getting much harder to take on. Accord and Camry are extremely well established and havent made the major screw ups compared to Ford and its ill fated midsized Taurus. GM has never been considered a major player here and thus needs to prove its better than the establishment. Im not quite sure it does, the Malibu is several times better than before but Im not sure it has done enough to prove GM will no longer resort to the old bad days of accountant designed rubbish. If your a American patriot, then yeah this is your best choice and unlike before youd actually support a good product unlike the Chrysler Sebring.
My Score: 6/10 - In a very competitive market, there isnt anything truly outstanding to make it the new standard for midsized cars. I gave the Mazda 6 a great score because it did quite a few things other midsized cars wouldnt do at those that did, the price was much lower for a still high quality product.
Overall: 34/50 - A pretty fair score, its definitely far from being bad like the last Malibu but its still not quite that brilliant either.

Chevrolet Volt MPV5 Concept vehicle applying hybrid technology

| Chevrolet Volt MPV5 concept |
As such, the Volt MPV5 packs a 16-kWh T-shaped lithium-ion battery pack that feeds a 150-hp, 370-lb-ft electric motor. Chevrolet says the MPV5’s all-electric range is 32 miles, down 8 miles from the regular Volt’s, while the range with the gas engine humming away is identical, at 300 miles. Charging time on a regular 120-volt household outlet is quoted as taking over eight hours, whiles a 240-volt hookup will charge the MPV5 in about four. As you’d expect given its name, the five-seat MPV5 takes interior and exterior styling cues from the Volt sedan. The wheels are inspired by the Volt’s and wear low-rolling-resistance rubber.
That has announced at a recent event called Charged 2011 – EV Symposium Silicon Valley. According the general news, the Chevrolet Volt MPV5 Concept uses a 152 PS (150 HP) electric motor that is charged by a 16 kWh lithium-ion battery, along with a 1.4-liter gasoline unit. The combustion engine’s purpose is to act purely as a generator, extending the hybrid’s range from a stingy 51.5 km (32 miles) on battery power alone to up to 482 km (300 miles).
Dave Barthmuss knows how to make proper evaluation regarding different car models. At Charged 2011 EV Symposium Silicon Valley car exhibition, it has been declared by a team of experts of the company about the new release of Chevrolet Volt MPV5 Concept vehicle applying hybrid technology.
The scuttle shake at the frontal part of the engine compartment of the car is absent. A 16 kWh lithium-ion battery has been planted inside the car compartment to produce the power. Experts have achieved success in enhancing the 100 percent technical orchestration by installing car up gradation tools in perfect order.
Chevrolet Volt MPV5 Concept model is more competent and fuel economic. Experts expect the good outcome after the release of this hybrid car into the market.

1977 Chevrolet Caprice Angry Birds fans of Game

Set tactics, take a small bird, then shot and win the point. Thats just as simple as a game called Angry Birds which is an application for a smartphone. Although simple, this game has become a "virus" so that many people play it. In fact, he inspired an animated movie (Rio) and eventually "infect" an owner of an old Chevrolet sedan.
A yellow 1977 Chevrolet Caprice was caught on camera while speeding on a highway in Ohio, the United States. No need to explain again that the owner is fond of electronic games.
This car already had the words "Angry Birds all over his nearly four door car. Yellow color that has attracted the attention it ditiban also with iconic design "mad bird" in the game before, right in the middle of the hood.
Meanwhile, velgnya deliberately chosen large with sizes 24 inches and wrapped with thin tires. Do not stop watching the wheels just arrived in size. You see, again the madness of Angry Birds look through pictures of all the characters in the game wheel. Pol!
Now, with this, if the participants met the owner of Chevy car show, they no longer need to make small talk and asked him, "Eh, you like Angry Birds huh?" or she will be really angry.
